Exploring the hidden dynamics of Domestic Violence

“Through New Eyes” is a training and awareness raising package available in CD-Rom or video format.

Its aim is to highlight the little-known and poorly understood hidden dynamics of domestic violence – such as the emotional / psychological, social, financial and sexual effects of domestic violence.

A six month research project has indicated many workers in human services are not fully conversant with the complexities of emotional abuse.

By dramatising the non-physical dynamics of domestic violence, this video package is designed for use by counsellors, health, welfare, emergency services, educational and community workers who come in contact with these issues.

Through New Eyes is funded by the Hunter Area Assistance Scheme and auspice by the Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre for the Hunter Regional Domestic Violence Committee in association with the Hunter Women’s Centre.

For those who have limited training background in domestic violence (DV) I hope the information provided in this site is helpful.
